10 months {Daddy, Momma, Turtle}

Changes are coming fast. This month Caleb has learned how to give "high five" and "down low", give kisses, and how to spit out the yucky food. We are pretty sure you are saying Daddy (1st) and Momma (2nd) to the right person at the right time although it has only happened a hand full of times. We even hear the words doggie and turtle on a regular basis. His screams have gotten louder especially when it comes to the competition between him and Jack.

The 9th month

Where do I begin? Your growing to say the least, measuring in at 19.8lbs and 30.75".
Although your not walking yet, I'm sure it's right around the corner.
You love to cruise through the house with your push toy, strolling like you own the place. I can see the wheels turning in your head with each new experience. You have learned that pushing a button on a toy produces sounds and balls flying in the air.
The meaning of the word no has finally sunk in and although sometimes it brings about a smile you generally listen. You can give "high five and down low" but you have no interest in playing patty cake.
There are 6 teeth showing with more quickly following as the drool is never ending.

 We've been to lots of baseball games, hiked a lot and spend much of our time outdoors.

8 months and counting

8 months have flown by and he is growing big. He has learned to how to pull himself up, cruise from chair to couch to coffee table and fall back down again. More often then not I find him standing in his crib and he never leaves without Eeyore. There are now a total of 4 teeth and no food goes uneaten. Sleep seemed to be becoming easy with some nights not waking at all until the past few days. Hopefully this is just a phase.

Even though the weather is turning hot we are still spending lots of time in the woods, we just try to look for shadier trails. Caleb has even learned how to sleep in the backpack. We head to the park on many afternoons for the swings and to stroll around the river.
 We went to our first baseball game of the season with Great Grandma, Great Aunt Nancy, and Grandpa. Coach Henrick (first base coach for Tampa Bay Rays) even gave Caleb a game ball. We had front row seats for all the action. It was hot, but Caleb was a perfect kid eventually falling asleep in my lap.

This was Caleb's first trip to the beach.  The sand was yummy and the birds brought endless free entertainment. He was pretty nervous of the cold water and waves but reluctantly dealt with it.

The living room stays scattered in toys but the favorites remain a half full water bottle, coasters, the dog's stuffed monkey, and of course Eeyore.

Flying time {It's been 7 months already?}

Wow has time flown by. On one hand it seems like a life time ago, and on the other it feels like yesterday.
Crawling is no longer an obstacle, and you can now pull yourself up using me as a ladder. I'm sure running is right around the corner. Child proofing has become a never ending battle, and I am sure that war has just begun.
You are eating all things food and non food. The other day I shared my scallops and pasta. Your eyes light up the most with the puffs jar. I think you like the idea of feeding yourself the best.
Sleep is still hit or miss. I take what ever comes.
